日国办发52号文，进一步明确了轻轨交通建设条件，自此我国轻轨建设将更加有序、更加规范、更加有效。但对于“什么是轻轨？”或者说“轻轨是什么？”这个问题，时至今日，含混不清，理解不一，观点众多，莫表一是。作者结合多年对国内外轻轨交通的研究成果，努力去回答这个问题。本期发表“轻轨交通系列论文”之第一篇“国内外轻轨概念的发展研究”，作为开篇“轻轨之道：什么是轻轨？”，力图为“轻轨”定义提供一种思路，争取尽早统一认识。今后本刊将继续连载“轻轨之法：轻轨建设管理"，“轻轨之术：轻轨制

国内外轻轨概念的发展研究
轻轨之道：什么是轻轨？

摘要：针对国内“什么是轻轨”这一定义多种、概念模糊、理解不清的局面，从“轻轨”名称来源入手，梳理国内外轻轨概念变化发展历程，追本溯源，分析沿革，突出特征，并通过国内实际建设案例分析，提出广义轻轨和狭义轻轨的概念。广义轻轨是以高架数设为主的各类中运量城市轨道交通系统的统称：狭义轻轨则主要指基于模块化铰接车以及新型C车，以高架数设方式为主的系统，其发展方向应该是路权、编组、运营更加灵活。最后

The Study of the LRT Conceptionat Home and Abroad

Abstract: The concept of "light rail transit" in China is varied, vague and unclear. This paper introduces the original meaning of light rail transit and presents the history of the light rail transit home and abroad. Then, it studies the real cases of light rai in China and brings forth the broad and narrow concept of light rail transit. The broad concept of light rail transit means the general name of the medium capacity urban rail transit, which is consistent with the UITP's and foreign countries'. The narrow one mainly refers to the urban light rail traffic coupled vehicles and new C type vehicles which are mainly elevated and the trend of them are more flexible in rights of way, operation and grouping way. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions in approve policy, standards and vehicles to ensure light rail transit developing sustainably in China.
