前言
本标准按照GB/T1.1一2009给出的规则起草本标准代替GB/T20850一2007《机械安全机械安全标准的理解和使用指南》，与GB/T20850
2007相比，除编辑性修改外主要技术修改见附录E。
本标准由全国机械安全标准化技术委员会（SAC/TC208)提出并归口。 本标准起草单位：如皋市包装食品机械有限公司、南京林业大学光机电仪工程研究所、金陵科技学
院、中机生产力促进中心、深圳市华测检测有限公司、广西柳工机械股份有限公司。
本标准主要起草人：史传民、居荣华、杨忠、李勤、刘泽华、黄中良、刘治永、赵茂成、陈能玉、宁燕、 王学智、宋小宁、程红兵、张晓飞、付卉青。

1范围
本标准规定了机械安全各相关标准的提纲性内容。 本标准可为机械及相关设备的设计者和制造商提供帮助，特别是在缺少特定C类标准的情况下，
能帮助设计者和制造商正确理解相关的机械安全标准。
注：本标准不涉及C类标准的内容。
2机械安全标准的分类
2.1A类标准(基础安全标准)
给出适用于所有机械的基本概念、设计原则和一般特征，相关标准见表1。

2.2 B类标准（通用安全标准）
涉及机械的一种安全特征或使用范围较宽的一类安全装置，分为以下两类：
-B1 类，特定的安全特征（如安全距离、表面温度和噪声)标准。 -B2类，安全装置（如双手操纵装置、联锁装置、压敏保护装置和防护装置)标准。
