[ Abstract] The technique of medical image fusion is being investigated in radiation therapy , especially in modem ac-curate radiotherapy. The classification, method and procedure of image fusion were introduced and different imaging modality applications in radiotherapy were reviewed. It is obvious that medical image fusion will play an important role in biologically conformal radiotherapy.
