纳米TiO,/PSB复合乳液的制备与性能研究

制备TiO,/聚丁苯(PSB)复合乳液。采用FT-IR、TEM表征TiO,/PSB复合乳液乳胶粒子结构,结果表明合成了以 TiO,为核的核壳结构纳米TiO,/PSB乳孔胶粒子。探讨了纳米TiO;、乳化剂、电解质、引发剂及增稠剂用量、聚合时间与温度、单体配比等对TiO,/PSB复合乳液性能的影响。确立了适宜的聚合工艺条件:纳米TiO,、乳化剂用量分别为总质量的0.5%和3.5%,电解质和引发剂用量为单体质量的0.4%,聚合温度和时间分别为64℃和3.5h,可制备出高固高黏且性能优良的复合乳液。经纳米TiO,改性的PSB复合乳液涂膜性能较未改性的,在黏度、硬度、耐冲击性、耐洗酮性、附着力及耐水性等方面均有明显改善。

Abstract: Based on nano - TiO, modified by silane coupling agent (KH 570) as modifier, nano TiO,/polystyrene butadiene (PSB) composite emulsion was prepered by semi continuous seed emulsion polymerization process to improve mechanical properties of polymer styrene butadiene latex coating. The nano latex particles of core shell struclure with TiO, as the content were characterized by FT - IR and TEM. The factors that affect the performance of TiO,/PSB composite latex were investigated, such as the content of nano TiO,, emulsifier, electrolyte, initiator and thickener, polymerization temperature and time, the proportion of monomer. The optimal polymerization conditions were established: the content of nano - TiO,, emulsifier, electrolyte, initiator were 0.5% , 3.5% , 0. 4% and 0. 4% respectively, and poly-merization temperature and time were 64 °C and 3. 5 h. A good performance high solid and high viscosity composite latex was prepared. Compared with the coating performance of PSB composite emulsion unmodi-fied, its coating performance modified by nano TiO, have been improved greatly in terms of viscosity, hard ness, impact strength, washability and adhesion.

丁苯橡胶(SBR)是世界上消费量股大的通用合成橡胶品种。而乳聚丁苯橡胶产量和消耗量在SBR中均占首位,因其不仅有着可比拟天然橡胶的物理、加工及制品使用性能,而且有比天然橡胶更好的耐磨、耐热及耐老化性,还可以和天然像胶及多种通用合成橡胶复合使用1-2。由于通常乳胶粒径在0.07~0.15um之间,固含量在30%~40%之间,很难满足功能性胶乳的要求,此

常采用一些改进方法,提高其高固含量。制备高固含量丁苯胶乳可分为一步法和二步法"。一步法采取先合成小粒径胶乳,再通过物理或化学附聚作用使其去稳定,使胶乳粒子附聚,增大胶乳粒径,提高乳液固含量,还可引人功能性单体改善其性能,但后期要处理黏度对聚合的影响:两步法是直接合成大粒径胶乳,而后再浓缩,但后期处理会影响乳液性能“。
