Ti.Oz正极添加剂在铅蓄电池中的应用

摘要:选用Magneli相的Ti,O,作为铅酸蓄电池正极添加剂,运用线性扫描伏安法、交流阻抗谱法和充放电循环等表征方法,考察了添加不同含量的TiO,添加剂对铅酸蓄电池电极析氧过电位、放电容量和电池循环寿命的影响。结表明,T1O,的添加能够有效提高析氢析氧过电,抑制水分的分解;其高的导电性和分散性,能够提高活性物利用率,抑制不可逆硫酸盐化,延长电池的循环寿命。当TiO,的添加量为铅粉质量的0.2%时,蓄电池的容量提高了
11.72%,而当Ti,O,的添加量为铅粉质量的0.5%时,寿命最高,提高了约16.81%。关键词:Ti,O;正极添加剂;铅酸蓄电池;循环寿命

Abstract: The Ti,O, oxides of Magneli phase was selected as positive additive of lead-acid battery. The effects of different content of Ti,O, oxides on the over-potential of oxygen evolution, discharge capacity and cycle life of lead-acid battery were characterized by linear sweep voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, discharge capacity and cycle life tests, respectively. The results showed that the addition of Ti,O, oxides could inhibit the dissolution of water by increasing the over-potentials of hydrogen and oxygen evolution. Ti,O, could also improve the utilization of active materials and restrain the size of PbSO, particles and irreversible sulfation. The charge-discharge test results showed that the discharge capacity and cycle life were improved by 11.72 % and 16.81 % when the addition amount of Ti,O, were 0.5 wt % and 0.2 wt% respectively

板配方中最常用的导电添加剂是石墨、炭黑等炭材料2。但炭材料在硫酸中化学性质欠稳定,其在正极充电至较高电位时,材料会被氧化,产生的二氧化碳造成导电剂流失,进而造成正极板活性物质疏松、掉粉、脱落等现象,导致电池寿命较差[3]。因此,寻求一种更加稳定的添加剂是解决上述问题的关键。
