Introduction
The IUMRS Intermational Conference on Advanced Materials (IUMRS-ICAM) is one of the most important serial conferences of the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) and is organized by the adhering bodies of IUMRS. Participants and lec-turers are invited through a competitive application process, resulting in the presentation of the highest levels of research in materials science. IUMRS-ICAM provides the opportunity for scientists, engineers, and students from around the world to exchange their re-cent achievements on the research and development of materials science and engineering. IUMRS-ICAM serial conferences are held every two years, and the last ICAM was organized by E-MRS and held in Nice, France in 2011, with an attendance of over 3000!
