Abstract: Cast-in-place concrete large-diameter pipe pile ( referred to as PCC pile) developed in Hohai University is a new technology for reinforcing soft soil. It has been patented in China and widely used in coastal area and mainland lakelands for soft soil improvement. According to the requirements of the file with No. [2009 J 88 from Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development about the Project of Engineering Construction Standard Compiling and Revising in 2009 , Technical Specijfication for Composite Foundation of Cast-in-place Concrete Large-diameter Pipe Pile JGJ/T213—2010 was compiled by Hohai University and some related companies. It is also for approval and publication on July 23rd , 2010 by the file with No. 704. In order to popularize the PCC pile technology , the main contents of the specification are introduced , particularly the design and calculation methods , construction methods and quality control standards.
